The complex of the Monastyrets Nappe is the tectonic scales filling with the Paleocene-Eocene predominantly deepwater turbidite deposits. The complex of the Pieniny Klippen Belt are presented by a tectonic melange consisting blocks (klippens) of Jurassic-Neocomian carbonate rocks placed in the Aptian-Maastrichtian dislocated marls. Both complexes formеd the Cretaceous-Paleogene Pieniny Klippen Belt-Monastyrets accretionary prism on the active margin of the Alcapa Terrane.
