The governing equations, the equations of motion in terms of displacements and the shear deformation, and the energy equation for the calculation of dissipative heating temperature were presented. Using this model, an approximate solution of the problem of resonance vibrations and dissipative heating of hingedly supported rectangular plate under the effect of uniform surface pressure and the potential difference, was obtained. The analysis of the influence of geometric nonlinearity and temperature of dissipative heating on thermomechanical behavior of the plate, in particular its thermal destruction due to the achievement of the Curie point temperature of the active material was presented.
