The work was aimed at obtaining and deepening knowledge of changes in physical and mechanical properties of materials and coatings in terms of ion irradiation and oxidation at high temperatures. Quantitative data were obtained regarding changes nanohardness single crystals, zirconium alloys, coatings and other materials and coatings under irradiation with helium and deuterium. The data regarding the depth of oxidation products of zircon fragments protective coatings at elevated temperature and hardness distribution profiles
