Karazin popup.description2 An object of study is the parameters of the ionospheric plasma and near-Earth space at influence of the disturbances of natural origin and in quiet geomagnetic conditions. The work aim is to identify the properties of the ionosphere as a component of non-linear dissipative lithosphere - the troposphere - the ionosphere - magnetosphere system and their role in the response of the ionosphere to natural disturbances. The basic results. 1. Analysis of the ionospheric day-to-day changes with the use of long-term data series and taking into account processes in the Sun - Interplanetary Medium - Earth (SIME) system shows that our knowledge about the ionospheric quiet and disturbed conditions is far from reality. The ionosphere is strongly influenced from "top" and "bottom" all the time. It is most brightly seen from the fact that day-to-day variations of the ionospheric critical frequency f0F2 are more look like the variations of surface atmospheric pressure in the same area than the f0F2 variations at a remote area of observation. Established changes in f0F2 are valid for arbitrary solar and geophysical conditions, but not during periods of strong disturbances only. 2. It is shown that any changes in the system SIME (including local) are seen also in other geospheres, the response value may be significantly higher than it would be expected from the known linear physical mechanisms. In some cases (15 - 25 % of the all time) it leads to a quasi-synchronous SIME variations in the system. 3. The results obtained indicate that the ionosphere is a natural unit of SIME as a common open nonlinear system. At the same time informative (trigger) mechanisms of interaction between the subsystems play a more important role than anyone may believe nowadays. The obtained results may be used for developing the empirical and theoretical models of the ionosphere, for modeling the physical mechanisms of the interaction between the different layers of the atmosphere, for estimation of the ecological consequences of natural and anthropogenic processes in the human condition, as well as for planning of radio systems for various purposes. The research results will be used in the preparation of the Doctor of Science thesis. They will be useful in the preparation of thesis in the educational process (bachelors and masters in applied physics, geophysics, astronomy) and updating of lectures.
