Karazin popup.description2 Object of research: physical processes of propagation, transformation and diagnostics of wave beams with a nonuniform spatial polarization of radiation generated in quasi-optical laser resonators in the terahertz range. The purpose of research the creation of new and effective methods of forming intracavity continuous-wave laser beams with a nonuniform spatial polarization and methods of their diagnostics in the terahertz spectral range. Methods of research: method of finite differences in the time domain for bodies of revolution; matrix method; parameter measurement method of spatial polarizations using matrix receivers with polarizers. For the first time the method of forming a single transverse mode with field azimuthal polarization in the laser resonator of the terahertz range is proposed and theoretically justified. The method is based on the performance of one of the mirrors for quasi-optical waveguide resonator as a dielectric layer with applied upon it azimuthally symmetrical metal large-scale diffraction grating. The structures are proposed and constructions of the large-scale diffraction mirrors are designed to reduce significantly the reflection coefficients for modes with nonazimuthal polarization types. For the first time the method of measuring radiation parameters with non-uniform spatial polarization is proposed and it is justified theoretically. The research results can be used to solve the problems of formation of wave beams with the specified space-energy characteristics of the radiation in the processing of materials, high-resolution metrology, microellipsometry, spectroscopy and electron acceleration.
