The purpose of the study: to study the effect of globalization processes on the Ukrainian culture. Methods: field methods (interviews, participant observation, monitoring the results of the survey, classification and systematization, etc.), historical-comparative system analysis and interpretive synthesis. Results and novelty: transformational change of culture influenced by globalization in urban, rural and suburban environments of Ukraine and the diasporas were studied; a study on the ethnography of science, professional and youth subcultures were conducted; on the base of international academic practices and applicative interdisciplinary experience ethnocultural processes within historical and contemporary Ukrainian enclaves of South America ( Argentina and Brazil) were investigate; a significant contribution to the study of traditional historical and cultural heritage of Crimean Tatars was made; previously unknown archival materials were published: the range of new names of Ukrainian and foreign scholars and their contribution to global culture and humanities were integrate into academic discourse; new perspective fields of humanity studies (anthropology of transformation, anthropology of science, subcultures studies) were produced; methodology of ethnographic surveys was improved. The degree of implementation - the results of research covered 47 publications, proven in numerous scientific conferences, in student lecture halls and in educational activities of the participants. . Results of research can be used for writing textbooks and educational programs for university humanity courses in cultural studies, history and theory of culture, ethnology.. The significance of this study consists in receiving new knowledge regarding the dynamics of ethno-cultural processes in Ukraine and the Diaspora in the XX - XXI century. Projected assumptions - Globalization, international and intercultural interaction have become an important feature of contemporary cultural processes. This is reflected in all types of human activity. Trends indicate that communication processes between different cultures will deepen. External and internal migration will be a determining factor of culture genesis. Therefore, they actualize the preservation of national and regional identity.
