Karazin popup.description2 The subject of study: stars, galaxies, extragalactic sources. The method of study: observational data processing, generalization and comparative analysis of data, mathematical apparatus of the root mean square method, data filtration, the probability theory and mathematical statistics. The main purpose of the first stage of the project is to derive the Galactic kinematic parameters using absolute proper motions of stars of the PMA catalogue. The data of this catalogue created by us cover the magnitude range from 9 to 20 magnitudes representing qualitatively new material for investigation of Galactic stars. During the reporting period the following results were received: 1. New computer programs were created. 2. Based on the ground-based data from the 2MASS catalogue and on the space project Gaia DR1 data published in september of this year the PMA catalogue was created. 3. In the PMA catalogue the positions, absolute proper motions as well as magnitudes taken from the 2MASS and Gaia DR1 catalogues are represented. The catalogue covers all sky in the range of declinations from - 90grad. to + 90 grad. including the Galactic plane and contains about 400 million objects. 4. Using the catalogue data the kinematic analysis of Galactic bright stars in the range from 9 to 12 magnitudes was carried out. This analysis was performed using the physical Ogorodnikov-Milne model. Simultaneously, based on this material the 'VSH' program for calculating the coefficients of decomposition of the proper motion field into vector spherical harmonics was tested. Using the PMA catalogue as the reference one we are planning to create a new catalogue of positions and proper motions about one billion stars for the whole celestial sphere that will allow us to derive improved values of kinematic parameters of the Galaxy as well as the Sun's motion not only near the Sun but at great distances.
