Karazin popup.description2 The aim - to synthesize and to characterize according to the probing of surface physicochemical properties of hybrid organic-silica materials, to create new electrochemical sensor for the determination of organic compounds and sorbents to extract heavy and transition metals from solutions. The methods - sol-gel synthesis, solid-state NMR spectroscopy, surface probing by fluorescent indicators and solvatochromic betaine Reichardt's dyes, quantitative physicochemical analysis. By the sol-gel method a new organic-silica hybrid material with a fixed 1-n-propyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride was obtained and characterized by its morphology and structure of the grafted layer. Using probing by fluorescent and solvatochromic indicators established the presence on the surface of the organic-silica materials with fixed 1-n-propyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride groups the silanol groups providing the surface layer expressed high polarity and acidity. The possibility of using a hybrid organic-silica material with fixed amino- and 1-n-propyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride groups as an electroactive substances to create amperometric and voltammetric sensors was established. The adequate models of equilibrium adsorption of metal chlorides with silica grafted with 1-n-propyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride has been found and proved according visible spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
