The purpose of development - the assemblages of composite materials based on SiC and binders including zirconates, alkaline earth elements carring out, optimization of process variables for materials manufacture that are resistant to corrosion, manufacture of prototypes developed materials, the definition of the structure and properties of materials being tested at the service site. Research methods and instruments - the thermodynamic, X-ray diffraction, differential thermal, infrared spectroscopy, petrographic and electron microscopy. Physical, mechanical and technical characteristics were determined according to the current State Standard and international standards (ISO). Experimental data processing was performed by means of the mathematical statistics methods. Theoretical and practical results - the basic principles of obtaining of the new materials based on SiC and zirconium cements manufacture has formulated. The application features of sol-gel process elements, sintering aids, plasticizers and new compositions of binders in the manufacture of composite nanohardened refractory materials by reinforcing nanoparticles and polymorphic transformations have been identified. Novelty - the thermodynamic investigations confirmed the stability conditions of silicon carbide composite materials that being used in non-ferrous metallurgy when selected plasticizing and sintering additives contribute to the optimal properties performance. The dense composite materials based on the special zirconium cements have been developed. The effectiveness of the new application - the developed compositions and technological improvements reduce energy expenditures to 10 - 15% for the developed refractory composite materials, abrasion resistance and service life increase to 30 - 40% in comparison with conventional refractory composite materials of similar composition. The field of application - the developed technology are used in refractory and cement industries enterprises without additional investments and the materials obtained for high temperature units lining of metallurgical and chemical industries. The investigation results are used in the high school to the preparation of specialists in technology of refractory non-metal and silicate materials.
