Pisarzhevsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine popup.description2 Found that composites of two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide of the semiconductor cadmium sulfide obtained by mechanical mixing, exhibit a low photocatalytic activity in a number of modeling processes (separation of hydrogen from water-alcohol mixtures, initiation of polymerization of acrylamide, recovery metylviolohenu and ions of silver (I)), which may indicate insufficient interaction between electronic components. In order to eliminate this disadvantage for composite CdS / MoS2 was used hydrothermal method, in which the source of metal ions and served Na2MoO4 CdSO4, thiourea and acted as a source of sulfide anions. Used preparative conditions allow control MoS2 content in the product produced, which ranged from 2 to 5 weight percent. For comparison, the photocatalytic properties in similar circumstances received individual as MoS2 and CdS. It was shown that composites MoS2 / CdS, obtained by one-stage hydrothermal synthesis, are effective photocatalysts reactions of hydrogen evolution from aqueous solutions containing lactic acid. The structure of the obtained materials established methods of transmission and scanning electron spectroscopy. The influence of different factors (ratio of components, wavelength radiation, electron donor nature, the presence of palladium nanoparticles as a co-catalyst, etc.) on the efficiency of photocatalytic processes flow shown that under optimal conditions the rate of hydrogen in the absence of palladium and irradiated with visible light is 1,1 10-3 mol g-1 h-1. It was established that the resulting composite materials also exhibit catalytic activity in reactions fotookysnennya ethanol to acetic aldehyde (v = 0,8 mol g-1 h-1).
