The aim of research - development and study of theoretical and methodological foundations for the leadership potential development of national humanitarian, technical and managerial elite in higher technical educational institutions and improvement of the crisis management system. Methods of research - theoretical: analysis, synthesis, comparison, modeling, classification, generalization; empirical: questioning, testing, monitoring; statistics: statistical methods, qualitative analysis of the results. The results and their novelty - theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the phenomenon of leadership potential have been first applied, teaching methods of formation of leadership potential have been developed, experimental determination of the level of development of leadership characteristics of students in higher education institutions has been provided, a hierarchical system of directions and measures of anti-crisis mechanism for the sustainable development of the enterprise has been developed.
