Investigation of the cold and osmotic stress effect on obtained transgenic plants revealed better adaptive properties of these plants compared to control. The genetic vectors for cold-induced expression of transgenes in plants were constructed. It was shown that the transient expression of reporter genes controlled by cold-induced promoter cor15a in Nicotiana excelsior plant observed a statistically significant increase of expression level after 5th day when the temperature drops. As a part of this work transgenic plants of various species resistant to herbicides as well as transgenic plants containing different heterologous genes in its genome were obtained. The presence of transgene in plants genome was confirmed by molecular-biology analysis. The study of the functioning of heterologous genes in terms of their ability to cause resistance to stress factors revealed that transgenic plants of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.), containing the gene for human leukocyte interferon inf-?2b or gene of sweet protein thaumatin II, were characterized by increased activity of the enzyme -superoxide dismutase. This feature of transgenic plants can be a criterion for selection of plants more resistant to stress of various origins. Also, our studies have shown that the pigmentary system and mechanism of leaves flavonoid synthesis of transgenic Digitalis purpurea plants transformed by Agrobacterium rhizogenes showed greater resistance to stressors compared with intact plants. Consider the use of gene sequences responsible for resistance to abiotic factors for DNA barcoding of bryophytes showed unreasonableness of using the gene of SHP1 protein sequence, because it includes intron and therefore may be identical not only for representatives of different species, but also of various orders and classes of bryophytes. The paper also studied transgenic plants and roots for their absorption capacity of heavy metal ions. The best option at this stage have been identified and strategies for further research in this area have been proposed. There transient expression and chromatographic purification of the target proteins techniques have been optimized, as well as method of multiplex PCR, which allows to increase the effectiveness and reduce the time and cost of materials for scientific research.
