Purpose- to study the role of air pollution by chemical carcinogens in the formation of thyroid cancer pathology/ The obtained results: the stable long-term urban' air pollution by carcinogens of three priority classes: benzo/a/pyrene (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), N-nitrozodymethylamine and N-nitrozodiethylamine (nitrosamines), cadmium, chromium, nickel and lead (heavy metals) and formaldehyde was established; a direct correlation between the level of these compounds air pollution and thyroid cancer risk was found; the leading carcinogens that influence on the formation of this pathology were chromium, formaldehyde, cadmium and BP.
