Waste hard alloys processing technique has been elaborated for their subsequent introduction into the melts. The technique includes rapid induction heating on air up to appropriate temperature and subsequent quick cooling in water. The heating temperature equals 850 °С for ВК8, 900 °С for Т15К6, 950° С for Т30К4 and 800 °С for ВН6. Such thermal treatment allows considerably simplify hard alloys crushing without significant reduction of their properties. Thermal analysis of aluminum-based melts with titanium carbide and wolfram carbide dispersive particles has been carried out. Main regularities of interfacial interactions in these systems have been determined. Influence of alloying elements on interfacial interactions of aluminum-based melts with titanium and wolfram carbides dispersive particles has been investigated. Recommendations have been proposed for matrix choice for metal composites reinforced by the carbide particles.
