Ion beam modification of copper and molybdenum samples of accelerating structures produced in IAP NAS of Ukraine and CERN was performed. A test bench was designed and constructed to measure work yield of modified copper samples. External magnetic field that was perpendicular to electrical one was shown to reduce current density of field emission of electrons from a metal surface.
