The object of research is the natural-territorial complexes (NTC) Danube Biosphere Reserve (DBR). The goal was to determine the basic principles of functioning and adaptation of natural territorial complexes DBR influenced by various environmental factors (biotic, abiotic and anthropogenic) and identification of their adaptive capacity. The study of flora and fauna carried out by conventional means, geobotanical, hydrobiological, ichthyological, herpetological, ornithological and mammological research. In the reserve ecosystems has been allocated five major PTC, related to the historical and spatial development of the territory - the flooded-littoral complex secondary delta Kiliya mouth of the Danube, alkaline marsh complex of dike island Yermakov, arena complex Zhebriyanski wetland, the flooded complex Stentsovsko-Zhebriyanivskyh wetland and estuary-marsh complex the upper reservoir Sasyk. As a result of this work was the evaluation of their status, identify areas of adaptive processes, determined the vulnerability of anthropogenically modified ecosystems, predicted their development in times of immutability, as well as in a re-naturalization. Further recommendations to restore the natural state of altered as a result of human activity areas of the region (the abandoned rice fields, fish ponds, dike islands etc.) Have been developed by increasing the wealth of their biodiversity, minimize the negative impact of economic activity on natural systems and its optimization. The results showed that the greatest influence on reserve have the NTC abiotic factors, therefore it is advisable to continue research in this direction, in particular the more deeply study the impact of global climate change on natural systems DBR. The practical application of research results is to implement the recommendations provided by the use of the results of work for further or similar studies.
