The object of the research - objects and phenomena of traditional folk culture in the villages of Liubeshivskyi district, Volynska region, which were injured by the radiation due to the Chornobyl disaster. The research objective - the study of traditional spiritual and material culture of Liubeshivskyi district, Volynska region, identification of its archaic elements, investigation of the nowadays state of existence of traditional culture, and the changes which occurred during recent decades. Ultimately, the research highlights the formation of the multidisciplinary research and information fund on ethno-cultural heritage of the regions affected by the Chornobyl disaster. The collection of materials was carried out in 20 directions of the research, particularly in the area of ethnology, folkloristics, study of art and philology. The obtained source base will become a fundamental for the further development of ethnographic science and will serve socio-cultural rehabilitation of the affected residents of Ukrainian Polissia. The research methods - field collection of ethnographic, folkloristic, art and linguistic information, particularly interviews, observations, audio-, photo-, video fixation and analytical description. In 2015, the comprehensive research on material and spiritual culture of the affected villages of Liubeshivskyi district, Volynska region was held. During the expedition, researchers explored 23 localities of Liubeshivskyi district, Volynska region and 7 localities under the selected directions. In addition, members of the expedition interviewed 1127 respondents, recorded 512 hours of audio- and 35 hours of video information, took 10000 photos. In 2016, they carried out transcription, systematization and analytical processing of the collected materials. The final report was prepared on the basis of the research findings.
