The aim of the project is to develop guidelines on civil-military cooperation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (hereinafter - the Draft Guidelines). Research Methods - systematic, comparative, retrospective analysis and synthesis. The main scientific results of the research work is to systematize CIMIC experiences of the UN, NATO, EU bodies and partners in international peacekeeping operations and assess the feasibility of its use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine against terrorism operation in eastern Ukraine. For the first time a research on improving the scientific and methodological foundations of the CIMIC in terms of international armed conflict in Ukraine. This includes the following areas of research and analytical tools as coordination with the civilian population, local authorities, international governmental and non-governmental organizations and religious and other organizations in areas where the performance of the functions of state structures is impossible or difficult to ensure stability and security in restoring critical infrastructure issues, coordination of humanitarian assistance to the local population, the implementation of international humanitarian law and gender policy, protection of children, women, internally displaced people in the conflict zone; establishing the AFU CIMIC system; analysis of the socio-political situation in the region and provide it to the leadership of the AFU military units; negotiating principles as the controlled territory and the territory controlled by pro-Russian-terrorist elements; participation in activities of strategic communications of the Armed Forces; integration into the logistics system software and training of the CIMIC personnel of AFU. The practical result of the research is to develop guidelines on AFU CIMIC. The introduction of the guidelines will improve the efficiency of CIMIC personnel preparation for work with civil environment and related to this activities.
