Mineral resources assessment of sodium, potassium and magnesium salt in Ukraine was carried out. Hierarchical database of salt formations of Ukraine has been created (new data received on the results of own research and accumulated existing information systematized and formalized). The models of the Upper Frasnian and Lower Permian salt formations of Dnipro-Donets depression, as well as the Trans-Carpathian Depression were generated (models was created by using innovative technologies based on the developed and applied methods of spatial statistics analysis). Lithological and geochemical patterns of formation of the salt formations and related mineral deposits was established. The hydrochemical features of underground water of the regions of distribution of salt formations have been investigated. The recommendations and reservations regarding the exploitation of the Upper Strutyn deposit of rock salt by the method of underground leaching was given, the consequences of exploration of the Sloviansk and Solotvyno deposits of rock salt have been considered. Solotvyno structure integrated digital geological model has been constructed and proposed as a tool for evaluation of geoecological state determination measures to restore equilibrium in the geological environment analysis and evaluation of project technical decisions on the use of salt resources. The growth prospects of mineral reserves genetically related to the salt formations of these regions were established; the complex use salt formations natural resources was substantiated, the main tendencies of traditional and non-traditional use of them were analyzed.
