The aim of the work is the development of strategic directions of state industrial policy in the aspect of stabilizing industrial potential and increasing the level of economic development and economic security of the state. Methods of research - systemic and synergetic approaches, analysis and synthesis, the static method. The practical significance lies in the fact that the developed conclusions and recommendations can be directly used for purposeful management of the formation of mechanisms and instruments of industrial policy at the level of the state, the region of industries or individual enterprises. A system analysis of the problems of the industrial complex at the state, sectoral (regional) levels, and the level of individual enterprises is performed. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of industrial policy as a factor in ensuring the conditions for sustainable social and economic development and economic security of the state are substantiated. The approaches to the development of the priorities of Ukraine's industrial policy based on the restoration of the industrial potential of Donbass and the identification on this basis of perspective directions for the introduction of state support for individual industries and enterprises have been further developed. Methodical bases of an estimation of industrial development in the conditions of influence of factors of external and internal environment on regional economic development and a level of economic safety of the state are improved.
