The purpose of research - assessment and diagnosis of eutrophication of the Ukrainian sea shelf waters, being under the influence of anthropogenic pressures and natural factors, assessment of eutrophication scale and its negative effects. Research methods - used the traditional methods of analytical compilation data and statistical analysis, based on environmental studies made by the Ukrainian scientific centre of ecology of the sea in 2016, involving satellite information, the data of the State hydrometeorological service of Ukraine and literary sources. Integral assessment of the level of trophicity and water quality were performed according to the index E-TRIX and the BEAST method. The results of the study - determined the trend to decrease of biogenic substances in the north-west the Black Sea waters. In all parts of the shelf zone of Ukraine according to long-term satellite observations of chlorophyll-a, is determined by a weak tendency to reduction of its content. Similar tendencies are revealed also according to complex indices of nutrient status of waters E-TRIX and BEAST. In some local areas of the Black Sea shelf in 2016, noted the "bloom" of water through the development of micro-algae Nodularia Spumigema and Diplosalis Lenticula, also development in August hypoxia phenomenon in the bottom layer of waters on the seaside of the Danube.
