It was spend the improvement technologies of molybdenum and tungsten coatings to strengthen the surfaces of foundry molds and samples for further modification by plasma flow. It was studied the peculiarities of the influence of pulsed plasma irradiation and plasma doping on the tribological properties (microhardness, wear resistance, roughness, coefficient of friction) surface of carbon tool steel samples at pre-coated with the following composition: W + C, Cr, TiN, MoN, TiC, Cr + CrN and after pure pulsed plasma treatment. The results for samples with pre-coated after the next plasma treatment is dominated almost all indicators samples for which there was no influence of the plasma. Friction coefficient after exposure to plasma is significantly reduced (10-15%), and the wear resistance is increased, which is important for use in plasma processing in newest technologies of modification the properties of the surfaces and layers and other applications.
