The basic tenets of the in-depth RPVs stress-strain state kinetics calculation have been formulated. They involve the current approaches and methods of solution to the non-isothermal thermoplasticity boundary problems and fracture mechanics problems, whose combination defines the RPVs fracture resistance procedure calculation at thermal shock. The fundamental methodological tenets and procedure of the specified elastoplastic SSS calculation as well as fracture resistance of the header-to-PGV-1000 steam generator connector weldment (components of the NPP reactor unit with WWER) have been formulated. The validity of the proposed approaches is shown by using the calculation of the stress-strain state of the WWER-1000 RPV nozzle zone with the postulated defects in the form of surface and undercladding cracks in the simulation of thermal shock mode, and the in-depth fracture resistance calculation of the welded joints with various defects in the form of surface circumferential semi-elliptical crack, as well as with the defect of intricate shape in the form of the extended groove with circumferential semi-elliptical crack in the simulation of operational loading regimes.
