Analytical overview and analysis are carried out for the raw materials for the production of biofuels, its thermal and physical-chemical properties, and the technologies of production and consumption of solid biofuels. It presents the results of the study of water state and evaporation heat of water at drying raw materials. The heat of combustion is defined. The research results of convective drying of plant material are presented. The energy saving modes of drying and drying equipment are recommended. The mathematical models, numerical methods and program of calculation of dynamics and kinetics of heat-mass transfer, phase change and shrinkage at dehydration colloidal capillary-porous spherical and cylindrical materials are developed. The heat resistances, temperature ranges of dehydration, thermal decomposition of organic and mineral matter, ash are determined. The types of raw materials are determined with uniform processes of thermal expansion. A comprehensive study of peat alkaline solid residue after removal humic substances are carried out for the purpose of use humic substances as fuel. The combustion technologies of fuels with different humidity are proposed. The emissions of CO and NOx are studied. The proposals are developed for the modernization of the technological scheme of peat plant with reorientation of the production of composite fuel with addition of organic domestic waste, wood and straw. This will increase calorific value and reduce ash content of the fuel with a simultaneous significantly increase the strength of pellets and briquettes.
