Registration Date 27-01-2017 Organization Institute of Surface Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Main purpose of the work was to study the photochromic diarylethene molecules that can change their conductivity depending on the wavelength of incident light, for example, the ultraviolet irradiation closes a central ring of the molecule. Therefore, in this work the influence of gold metal surface on the optical properties of photochromic diarylethene molecules was studied. This surface was modelled by a surface of a gold nanoparticle with a diameter of ~ 17 nm. These nanopatrticles were chemically attached to the glass surface. At the same time these nanoparticles have also been used to model the surface of the two electrodes, which are chemically connected by an assembly of photochromic diarylethene molecules.
