Methods of research - analytical study of information gathered from print and electronic sources, visual (sensory) methods for the study of decorative stones. During the second stage of this work it was created an automated software of the qualitative assessment of decorative rocks, which are suitable for use as decorative stones. Perspective ways of their practical use were found. The results of this research will be implemented in the State gemological center of Ukraine in order to optimization and improvement of the procedure for the examination of decorative stones of Ukraine, providing advices and clarification.
