The purpose of the research is to develop standards for measuring methods of composition and properties for precious, semi-precious and decorative stones during the gemological research. Expected results are standardization of measurement procedure under conditions of laboratory gemological research, with a view to their unification accordingly to the requirements of State Standard 8.010-99 and ensure compliance with requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On metrology and metrological activity" regarding the use of the results of measurements in the field of legally regulated metrology.
