The purpose of the project - the creation of new ways to strengthening and integrated technologies to improve the mechanical and performance properties of alloy steels, weld metal and alloy cast iron for various purposes. Research Methods - metallographic, X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, mikrorengenospektralny measuring hardness and micro-hardness, complex testing of mechanical and specific properties (toughness, wear resistance in a variety of conditions, wear, etc.). The work is the new technological schemes, methods and technology of complex surface and multi surface strengthening carburized steels, wear-resistant weld metal and cast iron by using thermal, plasma and thermal cycling treatments, high-speed thermal cyclic cyanidation (nitriding), through the creation of phase-structural modifications, the regulatory framework metastability for control their properties. New physical and mathematical models: integral formation of the composition and the metastable phase-structural complexes in wear-resistant weld metal; distribution of internal stresses therein; distribution of chemical and phase composition with carburized layers cementation. Development results have been commercially tested and put into production in the company "MAGMA", and can be used in many metallurgical, machine-building and repair and mechanical plants.
