The object of study - alien species. Objective - to provide systematic data on the distribution of alien invertebrates in waters of the Azov-Black Sea Ecological Corridor, forecasting and modeling of distribution, assessment of biological contamination. Research Methods - analytical assessment standard field research methods, experimental methods. 32 species of alien invertebrates common are in the waters of the key areas of the Azov-Black Sea Ecological Corridor. A significant part of findings made by the authors of the report, and has an important faunal novelty. The most diverse coplexes of alien invertebrates identified in three key areas: the Danube Biosphere Reserve; Dniester estuary and the Dniper-Bug estuary. The risk assessment of invasive alien species (SBPR index) compiled monitoring lists of alien species recorded in the waters of the key areas of the Azov-Black Sea Ecological Corridor of the Ukrainian ecological network. Biological pollution in the Azov-Black Sea Ecological Corridor was estimated based on the calculation of the index IBPR. Most of the key areas of the corridor, which are represented by water bodies, have the highest category of biological contamination. At the same time, for most of it, the facts primary infestations in the region are not registered and the way tof the universe is secondary (the resettlement from other territories which are the gateway of invasion). The primary areas of invasions of the key areas are the Dnieper-Bug and Dniester estuaries (44% invasions from ships), Danube Biosphere Reserve (20% invasions with the ships), Lower Dniester NPP (25% invasions associated with aquaculture), and the delta of the Dnieper (20% invasions associated with aquariums). We have made prognosis of biological invasions processes in the region. Familiarization with the scientific collections of alien species of Ukraine has revealed fundamental weaknesses in its museification. Established cartographic product allowing to visualize biological invasions in waters of the key areas of the Azov-Black Sea Ecological Corridor and can be used for prognosis and modeling of invasive process. Recommendations for the use of the results of the work: familiarization with key results report to relevant government agencies and stakeholders business entities (the State of Environment in the Odessa region), specialists in the field nature reserves and teachers ecological orientation of universities. The results of research work will be used in the following areas: the development of environmental assessment systems in the region (in particular the descriptor 2 Marine Strategy Framework Directive); monitoring and forecasting of alien species, in particular, protected species; fundamental zoological, hydrobiological and environmental studies; in educational process. Meaning of of this work is due to the fact that the alien species are one of the most important environmental problems in the region. Prognostic assumptions about the development of the object of study - the continuation of current trends in the growth of biological contamination and the appearance of new sources of it. Key words: Ecological corridors, the Danube, Dniester, Dnieper, Black Sea, the Sea of Azov, Limans, alien species. Product Description popup.authors Запорожець С.О. Лінецький Б.Г.
