These objects have different physical and chemical properties (metals, semiconductors, inorganic and organic compounds). Nanoscale size effects are studied in different physical phenomena and properties: atomic, molecular and electronic structures, conductivity and electron emission, electron-lattice energy exchange, the generation of electromagnetic radiation, the creation of radiation effects, the mechanism of epitaxial film growth. New plasma technologies of growing thin films, such as oxide films with the given characteristics have been developed Theoretical and practical significance of the work: clarification of physical regularities of size effects in the properties of the mentioned systems; development of methods for the use of size effects for practical modification of these properties in instrument making, electronic, energy, chemical and biological technologies.
