Information × Registration Number 0217U002427, 0112U000651 , R & D reports Title Geoecological problems of the Western Ukraine (on the pattern of the territory of the Lviv Region) popup.stage_title Head Pavlyuk M.I., Registration Date 14-02-2017 Organization Institute of Geology and Geochemistry of Combustible Minerals of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine popup.description2 The objective information has been obtained on the impact of the contamination sources on the status of the main environmental elements of the Lviv oblast of Ukraine, extent of the violation of the initial state of the environment and the forecast of the evolution of its changes, namely: the geological-geophysical monitoring of the contamination of the environment by the facilities of the oil and gas complex by the example of the territory of the Lviv oblast is performed; the present ecological status in the Lviv-Volyn coal basin and the possibilities of its improvement are analyzed, the role of elements-admixtures in coal, surrounding rocks and waters, forms of their occurrence and regularities of distribution in the coal-bearing formation are revealed, they have been investigated as a possible source of worsening of the present status of the ecological environment of the Western region of Ukraine; monitoring of the technogenic karst, caused by the activity of the mining enterprises, has been performed with a purpose of improvement of the ecological-social consequences of the development of the fields of mineral resources. Based on the performed investigations and taking into account the multi-sided criteria the conclusions have been made as to the impact of the contamination sources on the state of the main environmental elements, extent of the violation of the initial status of the environment and forecast of the evolution of its changes. The new data are obtained on the sources of contamination of soil, hydrosphere of the Western Ukraine by the harmful for the vital activity elements and compounds and mechanisms of elimination of their negative impact.
