The purpose of the research is the development of a methodical approach to the selection of priority sectors of the Ukrainian industry for the introduction and commercialization of new convergent technologies. The transition to the sixth technological structure, which is based on the use of convergent technologies, is a global trend in the response of the world's leading countries to the challenges of our time. A methodical approach to the selection of priority sectors of industry for the introduction of the latest convergent technologies is proposed. To determine the priority directions for the introduction of convergent technologies in the industrial sectors of Ukraine, the state of patent activity of developers and the level of innovativeness of enterprises was assessed. The integral index of innovation for the period 2005-2015 showed that the most innovative during the period under study were three sub-sectors of engineering, which occupied 1-3 places almost every year.
