The subject of the research is represented by the means and peculiarities of the creation of the sound youth policy in Ukraine. The aim of the research is to analyze the peculiarities of the youth policy in Ukraine and develop efficient mechanisms for the creation of the sound youth policy. The research results. In the paper, there have been studied and summarized contemporary regulatory and legal, theoretical and methodological aspects of the EU sound youth policy; there have been studied international practices and the best contemporary practices of the EU member-states concerning the creation of the sound youth policy; there have also been formed general approaches towards creation and implementation of the sound youth policy; there has been analyzed the role of national indicators in the process of creation, implementation and monitoring of the sound youth policy. Regulatory and legal as well as practical motives for the implementation of principles and practical approaches towards the creation of the sound youth policy in Ukraine have been investigated; there has been studied the correspondence between the objectives of the existing youth policy and real needs of young people in the country; there has also been conducted the secondary analysis of psychological, marketing, medical, ethnographic, factual and descriptive data about youth and its relevance for the creation of the youth policy. There have been found organizational and meaningful gaps in the youth sphere that hinder the information dissemination which is essential for the development and implementation of the youth policy based on the evidential basis; there has also been discovered that there is a small number of scientific centers, which study the youth policy and their insufficient performance. In the paper, there have been developed scientific and methodological recommendations on the development, creation, implementation and monitoring of the sound youth policy on the local, regional, and national levels; there have also been made some suggestions concerning the quantity and content of youth policy indicators, which should be approved in Ukraine.
