To compare the level of physical health in children during medical examination before and after the implementation of binding protocol of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine / Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine No.518/674, there was analysed distribution of schoolchildren in Kyiv by medical groups for exercises in 2001-2010 (150,000 annually). It was found that city schoolchildren have lower level of physical health than rural schoolchildren. There are 1.5-2 times more children in physical education classes with reduced exercise load or those excused from attending the physical education classes.
