It was shown that the reactions of trifluoromethyl-containing trioxabicyclo[3.3.1]nonanes with hydrazines are general approach to 3,5-di (trifluoromethyl) pyrazoles in 96-98% yield. In reactions with urea derivatives trifluoromethyl-containing trioxabicyclo[3.3.1]nonanes act as a hidden 1,3-dicarbonyl compound and form pyrimidine derivatives containing two trifluoromethyl groups in the 4 and 6 positions with a yield of 94-98%. Bis(trifluoromethyl)containing pyrazoles and pyrimidines are stable for long-term storage due to the presence of strong electron-withdrawing substituents. The structure of the products obtained was established by IR, 1H, 19F, 13C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. Product Description popup.authors І.І. Герус К.В.
