The purpose of the work is to substantiate, on the basis of theoretical and experimental studies, the replacement of the imported fluorspar from the composition of the slag of the secondary treatment of electric steel by using domestic mineral raw materials. Research methods - X-ray fluorescence analysis of sulfur content and slag composition, analysis of the content and nature of nonmetallic inclusions by means of optical metallography, quality control of metal by ultrasonic testing. The use of alkali alumosilicate pegmatite as a component reducing slag viscosity is theoretically justified. A technology has been developed for the complete replacement of imported fluorspar from the composition of solid slag-forming materials by using domestic mineral raw materials - pegmatite.
