It is known that super-hard composites, which include atoms of light elements B, C, O, Si, are interconnected mainly by a covalent type of bonding and exhibit high physico-mechanical characteristics, and their demand in the world market of ceramics is constantly increasing. According to the results of the performed research the principle possibility of synthesis of composite powder in the system В-С-О, which has a star-like morphology of particles, is shown. The physical and chemical conditions for the synthesis of composite powder, which consist in the application of the ratio of amorphous boron to boric anhydride, as 12: 1, at a synthesis temperature of 1300 ° C and a 2 hour period, are established.
