It is shown that the use of eutectic powders with naked diboride inclusions can increase the strength of composites by 16% at room temperature and 8% at a test temperature of 1600 ° C. The basic mechanisms of strengthening, which work in the obtained composites at room temperature and at elevated temperatures, were analyzed. Laboratory tests of cutting plates from polycrystalline eutectic composites of the B4C-TiB2 system have been performed and the materials obtained in this work are promising for use as a cutting tool.
