Don. The aim of the work is to study the influence of different modes of LED lighting on the synthesis of biologically active substances in medicinal plants Digitalis purpurea L., Catharanthus roseus G. Don, Aerva lanata L. and the participation of antioxidant systems in light modification of biosynthesis processes of secondary exchange substances Methods of investigation: standard methods of plant cultivation in vitro under conditions of LED lighting with different spectral composition. Determination of antioxidant activity (AOA) by reaction of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), level of accumulation of flavonoids and pigments and analysis of secondary metabolism by HPLC. We established an increase in the photomorphological characteristics of D.purpurea at a ratio of red: blue 1.2: 1 and 2.3: 1. HPLC analysis showed a change in the area some hydrophilic peaks under LED lighting, indicating a change in secondary metabolism. Variants red: blue 1,2: 1, monochrome red and blue increase the total mass and change the pigment ratio in C.roseus. In experimental plants, changes were recorded in the synthesis of secondary substances in all types of illumination. LED lighting with a red: blue 4: 1 ratio negatively affects the morphology of A.lanata and increases the amount of carotenoids and flavonoids. This can be a consequence of the development of oxidative stress. Other lighting options are promising for the cultivation of A.lanata in in vitro conditions. The obtained data indicate that the selected versions of LED lighting actively influence the photomorphological and biochemical characteristics of the plants under study. The results can be used to have a direct effect on the growth, development and metabolism of plants.
