A significant dependence of the luminescence intensity on the samarium concentration and nanoparticle size was revealed. It is established that there exists an optimal set of parameters "concentration-size of nanoparticles" at which the luminescence intensity reaches an extreme value. A series of samples of pure nanostructured nitride-carbon films and films doped with rare-earth ions was synthesized by the method of reactive magnetron sputtering. It is shown that optical absorption spectra can be used for the structural characteristics of carbon nitride nanofilms. It is shown that the morphological features of films doped with europium significantly affect on the luminescence spectrum. It has been established that the film phosphor CNx: EuCl3 in the fullerene-like phase has an anomalously high luminescence intensity in the 620 nm band at an activator concentration of Eu3 + 4.5 at.%.
