The complex consists of two monoblock devices: the ScanPol Scanning Polarimeter and the MultiSpectral Imager-Polarimeter MSIP for studying from the spacecraft on the new orbital platform YuzhSat the global distribution and microphysical characteristics of aerosol particles and cloud formations in the Earth's atmosphere from measurements of the polarization and spectral properties of the scattered solar radiation of the atmosphere and the Earth's surface. A model for testing one channel of the multispectral imager-polarimeter MSIP was made. A dimensional-dynamic model of a monoblock of Aerosol-UA instruments was designed and manufactured. The concept of an algorithm for determining the parameters of an aerosol has been developed. The calculation of the informativeness of the complex of scientific equipment Aerosol-UA is carried out. Together with the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau, the instrument management scheme for the Aerosol-UA project and the information transfer scheme were considered. Methods and a layout for ScanPol testing have been developed. A detailed model of measuring channels is constructed and a technique for determining the calibration constants of the ScanPol mathematical model of polarization is developed. The technique allows determining the instrumental polarization of ScanPol using unpolarized radiation, which is formed on the input mirror, for example, using a wedge depolarizer. Additional laboratory measurements of the polarization characteristics of individual optical blocks of the ScanMon polarimeter, namely, the blocks of the input lenses and the collimator, are determined. The instrumental polarization introduced by these blocks into the useful signal is developed and a method for its compensation is developed.
