In the course of the research, the requirements of national and international standards for the chemical composition of quality steel grades have been analyzed. On the basis of the analysis of professional foreign sources an analytical analysis of the technology of preparation of iron for melting in BOF of high-quality steels with a particularly low sulfur and phosphorus content and trends in the processes of continuous casting of steel has been made. In order to save ferroalloys for steel alloying, the theoretical analysis of the technology of direct reduction of alloying elements in the volume of steel was made and the temperatures of their restoration were defined.
