Kholodny Institute of Botany NASU popup.description2 The dynamics of lipid accumulation in potential species-producers of raw biological resources belonging to families Acutodesmus, Monoraphidium and Chlorella from IBASU-A collection were investigated. Most perspective types for a set of attributes considered A. dimorphus, Ch. vulgaris and M. griffithii, that are isolated from reservoirs of Ukraine and containing up to 16.6% of total lipids from dry biomass (under standard culture conditions) and 26,4 (-32,7)% - provided nitrogen deficiency in the culture medium. It is shown a direct correlation between quantitative content of total lipid fractions from algae and growth phase of culture, but not from cultivation duration. Increase in the number of lipid content ~1,5 times within the exponential and stationary growth phase of culture is marked. Total content of lipids variability in the genera Chlorella, Acutodesmus, Desmodesmus and its constancy in strains of the genus Monoraphidium are revealed, which is due, apparently, its specific physiological processes of vital functions. It is noted major components constancy of algae fatty acid composition on the genera level, which may serve as additional biochemically-diagnostic character at identification of industrial cultivation.
