The expediency is proved of the continued operation of the oil-gas units at Tripilska and Vuglegirska TPPs maintaining turbines and a large part of the auxiliary equipment and with the reconstruction of boilers with their conversion into the pulverized combustion of bituminous coal. The achievable level is assessed of thermal power in the reconstruction with the restrictions of furnace volume and of screen surface square. The recommendations are developed on the kinds of technical solutions for the boilers conversion for bituminous coal combustion to provide the unit capacity up to 240-260 MW with boiler type TGMP- 314 and up 600-620 MW with boiler type TGMP-204.
