The object of study - the risks insurance process in the production and preparation of feed to farms. Purpose - forming areas, the development of theoretical, methodological and practical principles activation insurance in fodder to improve the efficiency of agriculture and livestock in particular. Research carried out based on the dialectical method of knowledge and systematic approach. The study used the following methods and techniques: abstract logic; relative values, comparison, monographic, Economics and Statistics and settlement and constructive. Proposals formed that based on the monitoring of the current state of the domestic feed and agricultural insurance policies in developed countries will contribute to improving insurance coverage in fodder production. Methodical recommendations insurance coverage harvest forage crops. The model proposed of state support of insurance in fodder production in growing forage crops, forage harvesting and feeding, depending on their feeding value. Insurance policy provides fodder: subsidies by type of feed; diversification of the range of insurance programs; payment of the insurance premium in the insurance premium.
