Object of study - growth plate of the long bones, pediatric frontal knee deformities Purpose - to assess growth plates morphological changes of long bones under temporal hemiepiphysiodesis using various types of fixators , to analyze the results of surgical treatment of pediatric frontal knee deformities using. Materials and Methods - clinical research methods, analytical methods, morphological, experimental modeling, X-ray, CT diagnosis, conceptual and logical modeling. We conducted meta-analysis of published data about complications of temporary temporary hemiepiphysiodesis surgery for the treatment of pediatric frontal knee deformities.We studied growth plate morphology of experimental animals under unilateral and bilateral temporal blocking/ We found out that the growth of the proximal tibial growth plate after 3, 5 and 7 weeks of bilateral block isn't different from the growth of contralateral limb. Experimental biomechanical research and mathematical modeling of unilateral and bilateral blocking of the proximal tibial growth plate using various types of fixators, revealed a different distribution of stresses using different fixatives. Potential benefits of locking plates for bilateral blocking of the growth plate for limb length discrepancy in children were found.
