In section TlPb2Br5-'TlPb2I5' ir was found that the addition of iodide causes stabilization of TlPb2Br5 high-temperature modification, which exists at room temperature in the range of 24-91 mol. % of 'TlPb2I5'. The similar situation takes place on Tl3PbBr5-Tl3PbI5 cross-section. At room temperature, it exists in the range of 10-74 mol. % of Tl3PbI5. Using the Bridgman-Stockbarger method TlPb2Br5-xIx (х=0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3) та Tl3PbBr2.5I2.5, TlPbI3, PbBr1.2I0.8, Tl2PbBr4, Tl3PbBr5, Tl3PbI5, Tl4HgBr6 crystals were obtained and the investigation of their optical parameters were performed. The crystals are transparent in the visible range and high resistive, which is good in terms of use as a detector material. The etching composition for chemical-mechanical treatment of the Tl4HgBr6 crystals' surface were developed. Using DFT method a number of optical parameters of new nonlinear optical crystal Tl4HgBr6 were calculated, and with the use of XRF techniques and RES the electronic structure of TlPbI3, PbBr1.2I0.8, Tl2PbBr4, Tl4HgBr6, Tl4HgI6 and quaternary TlPb2Br5-xIx (х=0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3) та Tl3PbBr5-хIх (х=2.5) was determined.
