LA overproducing strain S. cyanogenus S136-MO19 has been selected for submerged cultivation and purification of the antibiotic. Optimal conditions of LA biosynthesis by S. cyanogenus S136-MO19 have been determined under conditions of growth in laboratory reactor; the level of production reached up to 380 mcg/ml. Technological regimen of production of LA substance at the scale of 2 g has been developed. Results of the research form the basis for generation of novel class of anticancer drugs capable of overcoming multiple drug resistance of cancer cells. The developed biotechnology of production of LA can be offered to various national and foreign pharmacological companies.
