The aim of work – verification of the existence of the phenomenon of phase formation of metals being electrodeposited through a stage of supercooled liquid state. Methods of investigation – scanning electron microscopy, mathematical modeling, X-ray phase analysis. As the results of the completed scientific research work the effect of the plastic deformation in deposit surface layers affected by solid particles that travelled due to exposure of metal being electrodeposited to a minor external force inclined to the crystallization front has been established. The effect of the occurrence of spherulites and pentagonal quasicrystals in electrodeposit layers adjoining the cathode, the occurrence being typical of metals produced by ultra-rapid solidification of a highly supercooled liquid metal phase, has been found. In addition to the planned scope of work the mathematical modeling have been performed for the dynamic behavior of gas nano-sized bubbles in the liquid phase of metal being electrodeposited and the features of electrochemical characteristics during recrystallization of hard phase have been considered. The obtained experimental results prove the existence of the phenomenon of phase formation of metals being electrodeposited through a stage of supercooled liquid state. The results of the work bring fundamental changes to the existing conceptions of phase formation of metals during their electrochemical deposition.
