The aim of investigation: definition of the fundamental mechanisms for powders consolidation, which are loaded by mechanical pressure in powerful electromagnetic field during flowing through them current pulse with high power. The methods of research: thermodynamic analysis of the powder composition components interaction, mathematical modeling of the spatiotemporal temperature field of powder material. Theoretical and practical results: the theory of electro-consolidation, taking into account the physical mechanisms and phenomena acting during the passage of large current pulse through the volume of the powder material, loaded mechanical pressure. Novelty: based on the numerical solution of the recurrence of a finite difference form of static equilibrium conditions of the selected elementary volume of the powder layer developed a mathematical model that allows real-time analysis of thermal processes occurring during the consolidation of powder materials under the influence of short-pulse high power electric current and mechanical pressure. Efficiency of implementation: obtained knowledge allowsto formulate a new theory of electropulse consolidation of powder materials and create a method for determining the optimum process parameters that provide full consolidation of powders with their original nanocrystalline structure. Area of application: materials working by pressure, ceramics production, powder metallurgy,research and development in the field of natural and engineering sciences.
